Soul to Soul: Black Women in Music

Phylicia Rashad and Michael McElroy host a magnificent evening of song and friendship as we highlight African American Women and their contribution to the evolution of American music. Legendary artists such as Capathia Jenkins and Lillias White lead a program of women in a concert of spirituals, blues, jazz, gospel, pop and R&B. This show would raise the roof if we had one! 

Capathia Jenkins – Currently she is enjoying a busy concert schedule with symphony orchestras in the US and Abroad. Broadway credits include Newsies, Martin Short Fame Becomes Me, Caroline,or Change Off Broadway she is a Drama Desk Nominee for mis Understanding Mammy The Hattie McDaniel Story. TV credits include The Wiz Live, 30Rock Film : Musical Chairs. Her latest single, I am Strong can be heard wherever you stream.
